Half a drop of black to the body might help

From the appearance of the top picture an the new one, I think it may be a laminate. Black and watermelon. The black side makes the melon appear darker.

Or a dark green pumpkin instead of black.

Well I would mix green, or green pumpkin with the watermelon. Start by going in small increments, like one drop at a time. Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm only going off a picture. Do you have the actual bait? If you do, hold it up to the light and look at it. That helps me sometimes.

Kip you took the words right out of my mouth.  It looks to be watermelon and green pumpkin mixed.
