Tourney Help..
« on: 07/26/13 15:08 UTC »
OK you pros out there, I am fishing in my first amateur kayak tourney and just wanted to know if the pros had any tips or pointers.

If anyone has seen the hobie worlds event the format is similar, you measure your fish, then take a pic with a place card for submission. bass have to be 15" or larger.  im really looking forward to the event.. Hope the bass get over their lockjaw..

Good Luck and Be safe.  At my age and weight kayaks and I are not a good match.

the best advise I can give is, catch the biggest, the most, and the fattest.
if you do that, you should win

Shoot Jason a message. He's always fishing out of one.
Or you can continue to take the abuse of these comedians around here. ;D Personally I'd do both. Fishing and having a good laugh is a good way to pass the day.

Im glad I could help  ;D

As for if you should go or not,  Well if that is you in the picture on your profile, with that 1/2 inch fish (yeah, I got the tape measure out), I think you should go. it will be fun to say the least.

Or you stay home, plan a day by yourself in the garage, with a couple of molds. and just hope CTom's wife don't give you some honey-do list to do.

Why wouldn't you go? Everyone has started somewhere. the same anxiety your having now will be the same regret you will have later

That's the best part. The butterflies.   I had those sitting in my racecar waiting to go out.   I love that feeling.  Like landing a 6+ in a tournament.

It's all worth it
