Gobi
« on: 10/05/13 10:21 UTC »
I was looking thru some color plates in tackle sites and saw one called Gobi that looked interesting so I started fiddling around a little. If I were to do it over again I' change two things. First I's add just a sniff of yellow to the belly pearl and eliminate the silver pearl that I added to the pearl. Second I'd add just a little less of the brown watermelon and cinnamon to the top color. Otherwise this one is about spot on.

The top color is 4 ounces of plastic, a splash of stabilizer, a dab of gold hi lite, green and black glitters [.015], 15 drops of mf brown watermelon and 5 drops of mf cinnamon.
The bottom color is 4 ounces of plastic, 10 drops ccm standard pearl, 5 drops mf silver pearl, a splash of stabilizer, a touch of UV enhancer and a little black .015 glitter.
The black lateral line is just a thin black re-melt....a little heavier than smoke but still not black.

Nice, notice how the different color eyes effect their looks!
