Gotta step outside the box once in a while and my congrats to Fatman for doing it.
I think I've tried every kind of eye made over the years on jig heads and have applied similar eyes to these many, many times. My success using eyes like this has been from the subtle "click" they make when jigged. You'll also find that the over-sized appearance simply helps fish to orient the front of the bait from back.
