glitter choice
« on: 11/05/13 20:32 UTC »
I picked up some x2 from someone awhile back and just started using it. One is green pumpkin green and green pumpkin brown. What glitter combinations work well with these colors? I tried red and purple.

Green pumpkin brown is one of my "go to" colors and I do it with red flake or with black flake.

One of my fishing buddies really likes green pumpkin brown with black flake.

I LOVE fine orange with large black. Put a little white peal powder I mean just a touch it gives it a shine and really pops the combo.

I'm a fan of Green Pumpkin, but can only speculate what the Green and Brown variations are like.  For the "plain", natural version, throw in Black flake, as others have said.  If You handed me those 2 bottles of X2 and told me to make ONE Color, however I wanted, for a Craw/Creature bait...I'd use the GP Brown with a little .015" and .035"/.040" Navy Blue flake.  GP Brown/Blue flake.

kipbass I use lime and copper in .015 the lime makes it a little more on the green side. Also black .040 with .015 gold halo works for me. mike

I find red, green and copper great contrast color for glitter in the plastic mentioned. My primary glitter size is .015 because I shoot smaller baits but I also use .040 in limited amounts in larger baits.

Na we're just old. Kids never listen to us. Remember, we don't know nothing. I do like it when we win a tournament though and you hear some of the young bucks talk " What where those two old guys doing different ? " or when your walking up with your bag of fish and they say " These are the two old guys I'm worried about " That's when it's fun being old.
