It may be hard to see but the tail piece is vertical while the body still has a belly section. With similar baits we sometimes rig them with the tail running up and down instead of flat and we get a much faster drop rate. The tail action rigged as such makes the bait look like a minnow swimming. That motor oil in the light really comes into the belly color in the picture but in the hand the belly is very clear...wonderful natural light here today is about like sitting in a basement without lights.
I shot a mold full of the belly color and trimmed the belly sections out of those bodies. They are 90 degrees from where they came out of the mold but shoot very well when replaced in the mold and shot slowly. Its a bit more work than product might merit but for personal use I think I can see doing more in several color combinations. This is how I normally rig similar baits without they eyes or belly color.
