Do-It micro glitter...

...in plastic.

I shot these nano frys up this afternoon since its so nice out and decided to try the micro glitter that Do-It sells on the Vinyl paint page. If you look closely you'll see that these are three color shots. The belly is small and is made in clear plastic with just a smidge of black glitter and a very small amount of silver pearl colorant. The body and tail color is 2 ounces of plastic, ever so little bit of X2 hot pink on the end of a toothpick, a shot of stabilizer, rose hi lite and the red micro glitter, maybe half of a 1/8 tsp measure. The back color is 2 ounces of plastic and the shot of stabilizer, the same tiny bit of midnight blue X2 colorant, blue hi lite and about the same amount of blue glitter as the red. The clear was spoon fed into the belly cavities, the red shot over it using a plate and then finished with the blue. The red eyes just really make this bait look like its totally peeved at something.

Man, its a challenge to spoon pour these tiny baits but the end result is something else.

This ultra fine glitter is nice to work with but it does head for the bottom of the bowl pretty quick. Still, it is super reflective, moreso than the conventional plastic glitter and in small baits it just makes the inside of each color jump. I love the dink glitter.

They look delicious!

I shot some of the thumper fry in a very light chartreuse with .008 silver - (sorry, I don't have a good close up camera or I would have posted) - they look freakin' awesome and I'm itching to try them!  The tiny glitter is what makes the tiny baits absolutely pop.

BTW, I used the same chart/silver for a 7" watzit, except with some bigger blue glitter sprinkled on it's back and it looks pretty darn good as well... it's a shame we have this winter water problem up here.

Great looking baits as always, Tom.  I picked up some holographic string glitter from hobby lobby.  It's pretty colorfast and I'm enjoying working with it.  6 pack was $6; silver, gold, red, blue, green purple.  They had some ultra fine glitters from the same company, might have to go back and buy some and test them out.
