One man's dream

In 2009 a young man from Minnesota was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. It eventually spread to his lungs and took him a year ago. One of his aspirations in life was to have a song he wrote recorded professionally and he achieved that goal before the disease claimed him. One year after Zach's death, his song was recently performed in the Mall of America as a tribute to him. You'll have to click on the link to listen to this. Grab a hankie....

With all the junk going on in the world politically, socially, economically, etc and we're at the point of just throwing our hands in the air and giving up, we run across things like this where people from all walks of life come together for something good.  It makes me want to stick around just a little longer.  Thanks for the post, Tom.

I've been involved in vocal music since the age of 8, but now the lungs just don't work well enough for me to participate much anymore. I see something like this and wish I'd have seen where this was being planned for I'd certainly have driven the 90 miles to join in. The message here is simple: never say you can't, never say its too late, never stop living for your dream.

I followed the story behind Zack on another fishing site as he chased that dream to do a real recording in a studio. It was something to watch. It was hard to watch. This just makes the whole of the process so worth it to have followed it.
