Giant Largemouth on the 4 in ST Grub
« on: 01/01/14 22:02 UTC »

I wasn't able to verify the weight but I h Ave caught an 8 , 9, and 10.  This one was a big fish probably 11 or 12.  It had tremendous girth.  It hit real soft didn't know know what we had until I had her on the bank.

Nice fish, Steve.  Were you fishing a lake?
Until next time.

BD is that the blue gill grub that we worked on? What kind of swim jig is that ? I bought something like them at a bait shop once but haven't seen a mold available anywhere like  it. I hope the Do-It swim bait jig is similar in action. Mike  8)

It was a small local pond about 7 acres but only 4 feet deep.

Mike - yes that is the bluegill grub you sent.  The jig is made by Oldham jigs

It was the light colored one.  Pretty much clear watermelon with black and blue flake

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter - and unsafe.
