For Skirts, bands, skirt making tool, fully made skirts Rat Trap Bait Company in Auburndale, FL. Bubba Robinson is the proprietor and you won't find a nicer gentleman to do business with. Bubba does things old school. No website no gimmicks, just a good old handshake and phone order. You won't beat his prices either on just great silicone skirt material. Call him and he will email his product list to you. Give him a try, you won't be disappointed.

For jigs, especially smaller jigs, use pure lead. Check with plumbing shops in your area to see if they have any discard lead or maybe a few old 5 pound pigs of it they'd sell. Lead isn't used in building much anymore but some of the older and bigger shops had tons of it on hand and still may.

Yes, Bubba is great to deal with. For lead you can check your scrap yards. They have bins filled with this stuff. Mine lets me pick it. I like thin sheets of pure lead. It's very easy to work with.

Believe it or not, roofers are the trade to get it from... it is still in use for what they do in the construction industry, and it is very good quality lead.

If you can't get it free, go to Roto-metals.com     They will have anything you can possibly want. I would use 99% pure lead if you are starting out. However this lead is very soft.

Scrap yard for lead. Fishingskirts.com, Barlows, Lureparts online are all good sources of skirt and other lure making supplies.------Tim.
