« on: 02/05/14 08:57 UTC »
Okay let me start off my saying I LOVE this forum and my new hobby! My buddy that I fish tournaments with suggested that we might look into pouring our own senko type baits.. That was the beginning of the end! Between us we now have 6 molds in just under a months time!!! We do this together in my basement and the satisfaction of seeing something come out so nice that you produced it awesome! Thanks again for all the help folks and to DO IT for great customer service!! Jim

The amount of enjoyment you get out of making your own baits and the friendships along the way has enriched my life more than any thing has in a long time. Won't be long and you will want 1 of each or more.  Enjoy  Mike :D
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Just go ahead and give the responsibility of all finances to your wife now. That way all the bills should be paid and the power don't suddenly go out in the middle of pouring....the spending has only just begun.... :D
Theres more molds to get, more colors to get, and lets not forget the glitters, and hi-lites tooo....Not to mention all the fishing gear it's going to take to test these new play things out with...And of coarse theres the stuff to store your ingredients in and on, the containers to keep the back up baits in to refill the tackle box, and the back up baits for the back-up baits for the tackle box......And your wife says your crazy,,,,just tell her it's not out of hand, your just being practical and saving valuable fishing time later.... ;D

Curious what formula you are using for the sticks.

Salt or HDA?

I havent added either (yet). Most of my soft plastics are fished pegged weight unless a drop shot. I do want to try the hda for a weightless bait though

I really like the HDA. It's different than using salt because you have to use different amounts of colors and glitter but the baits come out great. For my sticks I use 20ml of it per 4oz. To measure it out I use a large syringe I picked up at tractor supply for like $3.
