Thanks. I like that jig too. I've made those colors for years only in an arkie. Do you use any kind of epoxy on the eyes to keep them on ?

I use Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy on all my Poison Tail jigs to seal the eyes on. What I do is pour the heads, then prep, paint and cure, add the eyes and then epoxy the weed guard in place and put a coat of epoxy of the entire head and then the next day I'll tie the skirts in. The only time that changes is if I'm going to tie hair or tie the silicone in with thread, then I'll tie the material first and then epoxy the weed guard in place and coat the head in epoxy, you just have to be careful not to get any on the material.

Thanks I'll try that. I tie all my skirts on so I use super glue gel to put the weed guards in last.

I will usually super glue the weed guards in.  Before doing that, however, I'll take a rubber band and throw a couple semi-loose wraps around the skirt/hair.  It keeps the skirt away from the glue.
Until next time.

The Loctite gel super glue works well for me.  Doesn't capillary as bad as the regular thin stuff.
Ii is a blue bottle with a blue top.  Seems to last longer in the bottle as well.

You mean sorta like you do with that pony tail of yours... Right?  ::)

I don't have enough hair for a pony tail, but that said, nothing I do requires hair.
Until next time.

I just use one small drop in the hole. Never had a problem with the skirt getting into it.

Can i ask why you only tie material to the bottom of the jigs?

Because if you tie it on it never slips. The skirt stays in place. With a rubber band you need to adjust it from time to time. If your set up to do it then tying takes very little time and gives you better results.
