What he means is why is all the material on the backside of the jig and not completely around. The way the jigs are laid out for the picture makes it look as if there is a bare spot on the top or front of the jig so the collar is visible. I think he moved all the material to the back to take a picture so it is clear that you can see it is tied but I have tied flipping jigs like that in the past when I was using bulky trailers but now I just use less material.
