Junk plastics
« on: 03/16/14 20:58 UTC »
I was digging through my storage bin where I put scrap plastics. I put most like colors in my presto pot and went to town. This is about 4 hours of shooting. It's full of lizards, brushhogs, 702 craws, stick worms, dragon tails, 3" croakers, 4" big foots, 5" jerk baits, and 10.5" ribbon tail worms.

Here's the cool part. Since it was all scraps, I'm giving it to the local Boy Scouts. An old co-worker of mine is in charge of the group and they have no idea it's coming!

I'd need a backhoe and a cement mixer to handle all of my scraps.

There ya go! That's what I was looking for, another one to be inspired..It turns out there is no longer a boy scouts club here. They all got too old and the young ones never joined  :-[  There is however a junior deputy program where they teach young boys and girls about what it takes to serve. They might use some of them. I'll check at work and see if there are any youth groups like the scouts or something similar. I would really like to see something like taking a Vet fishing. With a base so close to us, I'm surprised I have not heard of one yet.

I would love to host a vet tournament for non boaters. People take the vet fishing in their boat and sponsors provide the prizes that way we could have a no entry fee tournament.

Now there's another great inspiration... and they shouldn't be as fidgety as the kids!

I'm going to do some sniffing around and see if this idea can generate some interest/momentum where we can get something similar started around here.
