I'd mentioned awhile back, using the Swim Toad as a Twin Tail Grub-type of Craw Imitation. Plenty folks use Twin Tailed Grubs to imitate a Craw, with widespread success (very popular, and popular for a reason). A running Craw has a pretty wide profile, which the Toad accomodates much better than most Grubs. The Toad also has the hook-slots on top AND bottom, which we all know is extremely favorable. One unspoken aspect of the Toad...when it's bagged, the Claws/Feet lay naturally "in-line" with the wide proportion of the Body, so it has a better tendency to stay flat and retain more of its intended shape, and not twist in the bag like some bait designs.
DF Bro, You did a Fign Job here. I dig the antennae!
This bait is the Speed Craw everyone's looking for. It might not thump quite as hard, but does it need to rattle the bottom of the boat?
