Eagle cam

I've been watching a pair of eagles on video incubating three eggs that were laid back in February. One of the three eggs has hatched and a bit earlier today I got a glimpse of the chick. Ugly little devil.

Its amazing to watch these birds develop. It won't be long and the chick will be standing on the rim of the nest keeping an eye on the world. The nest is located inside the Twin Cities Metro area of all places, so there's plenty for the chicks to take in as they grow. Fun stuff to watch.

My wife watches a pair from Iowa I believe. Last year they tagged one of the chicks after she left the nest and followed it's flight during the summer. It was amazing the distance that bird covered. She must have had a pass port because she was way up in Canada.
