I like the LEE production pot IV for most of my needs but I also use the LEE Precision melter for just pouring a few jigs and spinnerbaits using a ladle.

I have two of the lee pot IV. One I use for pouring lead into ingots. The other I use for pouring jigs. I also have a Hot Pot 2 that I use for pouring tin. All of them work super.

I use a propane burner, a "20 lb." cast iron pot and a ladle.

Lee 20 pound magnum melter and a small ladle. You'll never hear me nagging about clogged or dripping nozzles and I cast down to 1/32 pro molds with nary a problem.

I followed CTom's advice and purchased a 4lb Lee Pot and a small ladle and I am darn glad I did. Easy to use..nothing to drip, leak or
.....and can make more jigs than I'll ever use. Cost effective too!

Used the Lee 1/2 price replacement program 2 years ago to replace Lee IV pots of 25 and 27 years old. Have one going and the other is still in the box.

Hey guys just trying to get a Christmas list together! I have decided to follow ctom advice. Do you guys like the 2.5 inch ladle, or the 3 in one? Tia

I use a smaller ladle than even two ounces. And since my last post I have added jigs as small as 1/64 and 1/80 ounce to the tiny jigs list. And both of those molds are Do-It semi-custom numbers....which state bottom pour only!

Ctom I guess I don't understand what your saying. Sorry this is all new to me. Do you have a link to the ladle you use? Feel free to pm me. Thanks for the help!

I hand pour my jigs. The 1/64 and the 1/80 heads I have molds for now I also hand pour even though the molds are marketed as a "bottom pour" furnace feed mold. I'm just saying I hand cast the heads that are supposed to need a bottom pouring furnace to make them.
I bought a couple of these ladles many, many years ago at a garage sale. The model 410-502 2 ounce ladle at
www.jannsnetcraft.com
is like the ones I use. Identical. $8.00. Very easy to handle with precision pouring.

A bullet ladle works well also and it has the convenience of a pour spout.

I use the RCBS. It's pretty pricey, but I received it as a gift. I've probably poured well over a thousand jig heads, drop shot weights, etc with no issues whatsoever. Never so much as an errant drip.
