« on: 04/04/14 11:57 UTC »
I have a Problem iam new at making baits i have a craw mold and i always get a indent in the top craw. I know it from the the drawback of the plastic when it cools but dont know how to stop. Tried waiting longer to undo molds and holding injecter in longer plus topping off. Any help would be great thanks.

ONCE YOU FEEL YOUR INJECTOR STOP KEEP IT IN PLACE AND HOLD PRESSURE ON THE PLUNGER FOR ABOT 10 SECONDS AND KEEP THE SPRUE HOLE FILLED WITH PLASTIC,AND IF THAT CURES YOUR PROBLEM JUST REMEMBER THAT THE HOTTER YOUR MOLD GETS THE LONGER YOU MAY NEED TO HOLD PRESSURE ON YOUR PLUNGER,I LEARNED THAT TRICK FROM THIS SITE.........

Could be you're shooting your plastic too hot. And or the mold is too hot. Seems to happen to me a lot with my sticks

Good advice above. I shoot my Mad Dad molds at 300-320 after coming down from 350 with perfect results every time.------Tim.
