Hey guys just wondering what tools are a must for making tackle? I see all these special tools for tackle making in the catalogs and stuff. Are they really necessary? Thanks for the help

 It all depends on how far you want to take it. If tackle craft is something you want to do a lot of, the proper tools will save you time, money and frustration in the long run. If you are handy you can find or make substitutes for some stuff, but if you are pouring lead or plastic don't risk your safety.

Mostly jigs, jigging spoons, bottom bouncers, and split shots. Might get into crankbait making later but not sure.

On the split shot buy them!!!  They are a PITA to pour especially the re-opening kind, I sold my mold for them long ago and here in Vermont you have to use non lead split shot.
