Marabou Finesse

Here is a small jig that is seldom used for bass that works great in cold water but is also fantastic during the summer when they get lock jaw. This is a simple 1/16oz dark watermelon ball jig with a #2 sickle hook, I used 2 small plumes of blood quill marabou, one black and one olive brown, and tied them in hackle style and finished it off with a furnace hackle collar. I tied these for early spring when the fish are coming up shallow and then you get a cold front, they will back off and jerkbaits and other tactics may not work and when that happens this is a bait they will bite, the same thing when we have fall turnover, when I see the stuff floating up you can bet I'll have a medium light rod with this type of jig tied on.

Very nice looking tie.  enticing,  I'd take a swipe at it, good work.  ;)
