Not What I Expected
« on: 07/15/14 21:03 UTC »
The purple string glitter I got from Walmart bleeds a lot.  I have used other colors of this same glitter without any trouble.  I know that purple glitter bleeds a bit more than most colors but the end result was somewhat unexpected.  These Ring-It worms are just clear plastic with glitter no colorant.

I had that happen with Michaels' tinsel glitter.

I think this is called sunflower in clear plastic.

And I think this is called Fairy dust in clear

most of those glitters purchased in stores are not heat resistant and will bleed. I personally would never purchase them with the intention of adding them to hot plastic.

Only some of the tinsels seem to bleed. The Purple 040 from Michaels is my fav of any purple glitter. Dirt cheap too.
