the 2 1/2" Magic
« on: 09/03/14 13:53 UTC »
Mo's bait was requested of me by a fellow member here. He had some specific needs and I did these today to see if they'd work for him. He saw this picture, sent to him first. He should get the baits in about four days. I've had a dozen requests for these fellas so I can say that this bait series is a hit.

The amber is a solid color. The purple has a unique pearl belly and the junebug at the lower right has a pink pearl made from the pearl used in the purple dude. The belly colors can be seen with the back colors near the center of the picture.

Nice work on creating this bait MO and even bigger kudos to Do-It for latching on to it and expanding the size range.

Them are sexy right there. Not as sexy as Jerry and a battle axe but sexy non the less. I really would like to see some walleye caught with the magic

So far I've caught Walleye, Sauger (Sand Pike), smallmouth, largemouth, bluegill, crappie, white bass and the smallest Northern Pike I've ever seen on the 2.5" Mo Magic almost all on the Mo Milk color (pearl white). My wife caught a monster Yellow Perch on a purple Mo Magic.

I also caught a Mooneye on a brown one during the Hex hatch. Mooneyes are also known as "the poor mans Tarpon" because they jump like crazy when hooked. Unfortunately they also bleed like crazy!

Andrew; Can't you make up your mind what you are fishing for?  Sounds like me when I go jigging in the winter.  A few of these; some of those; a couple of them, three or four of that, and one nice etc.

Yeah....I've been fishing them on the Do-it Teardrop and Worm Nose jigs and pretty much fish for whatever is biting!
