I poured up over 300 blades, Many of them painted awesome... Hooks, snaps all into a new blade bait box... It fell off the boat and sank in muddy water.. I probed for 30 minutes and cant find it.  :'(  $1,200.00 worth of blade baits all gone before I could tie one on.  :'(

Then I blew up my 250 HP Yamaha...  :'(

I need something nice to happen to me soon, Just to help me get through this.

Have someone with a downscan depth finder find you box for you. I would think with all that metal it would really show up well!

A fifty pound magnet might help as well.

There is nothing magnetic about these baits other than hooks and snap.. All of the weight is nothing but lead and brass.  >:(

Maybe find a local diver and have him go down for a few bucks, buddy of mine did that with a custom rod he lost once.

That motor looks like it lost a battle with chain!

Retrieving your tackle box can be a problem. A diver would be useful but I've caught all sorts of things with my blade baits, Best one this year was a pair of Orange camo  pants and a week later a buddy caught the matching jacket.  As bad as they smelled, the owner may have been in them when they sunk!

You might get lucky with a snagging hook but without a diver I think it will be just luck!

I have a 3# coffee can full of lures we have retrieved as well as a dozen or so anchors, anchor ropes (Always good for some lures) and every spring we make a special trip with a grapple to pull up a steel cable ~1/4 mile long to salvage a lot of misc lures never fails to amaze me is how some people manage to snag a floating bait on a cable in 25FOW. Lost so many lures on the cable, went out on a buddies big houseboat and messed around trying to figure out what the snag was. We cannot get it out but there is enough slack that we can get it up and salvage a lot of useless relics.

Good luck and hope the motor is not as bad as it looks.
Wishing y'all tight lines and bent wriggling rods. Happy Fishing!

Lake bottoms just swallow stuff up.  My cousin dropped a 15# anchor over board... without attaching the rope.  We knew exactly where it went down and couldn't find it.  Its like the bottom swallowed it .

The funniest one I ever did was I had a fish basket with a dozen bluegills in it. My father-in-law was along and had bought a six pack of Bud. I said give it here , I will put it in the fish basket to keep it cold in the water. That's what I did. To bad I didn't tie the basket off before throwing it back into the lake! Poor way to get along with your father-in-law!! :o ;D

I wonder how well a metal detector would work in 4 ft of water? Maybe I could rent one... ??? Or find one to barrow.
