The body does not vibrate like a blade bait. The spinner blades put out enough vibes. I fished 3 baits equal time today.... A 3/8oz jig and trailer, a blade bait and this new bait I made. I only caught 5-6 bass and they all came on these in the pics. Bob O on BBC was with me and saw these in action too... I caught more and the biggest fish from the back of his basscat.

It sounds like I'm downing this bait. And I'm not but you did ask for an honest opinion. It didn't make sense it would vibrate and you did catch fish on it but the advantage of making this I don't see. A better comparison today would have been a regular spinner bait, Chatter bait and this bait. Those three baits all have flash and can be fished the same speeds and depths. Very typical for fishing this time of year.

I would think the bait would be really effective in clear water where the bass are sight feeding. Using Willow blades give more flash than thump and match the body of the bait to be a visual bait.

I also like the body size. It would be really effective on smallmouth.

There's only one way to know....let the fish tell you!

Your missing something.... A spinnerbait does not look like a baitfish or anything that swims in the lake. This bait does a much better job looking like a pod of baitfish or small A-Rig. It actually looks like "FOOD"  ;D And has the triggering quality. Many advantages in this..  ;D

No need for any more responses... ;D

The tandem willow baits really look great in the water... The single Colorado sure has a lot more vibration and body shake action. I also started putting on #2 hooks on them instead of #4's... Michigan winter weather is setting in and I wont be able to use these much until spring.  :'(

Love it too!!!   You are right on about it looking like a bait fish.  I have played with spinnerbaits for Lake Michigan Trout.  They are one of those species that want nothing to do with a standard skirted spinnerbait like you would use for bass.  But give it a baitfish body and they are will hit it.  I have been making something similar but instead of the blade I use the Shad Bait lure in 3/4 ounce (SBL-3-MB).  It becomes a spinnerbait with a full lead body.  Good work 21XDC.
