Been reviewing some of new the products that have been introduced, since I have had success with them in live bait form in the past,
I am very interested in the Mayday Mayfly,

If it's not to much to ask, will you share your color combination that you used, as they look like the real thing

I'm pretty sure that color is X2 motoroil

It is X2 Motor Oil at 1 drop per oz. of plastic and .040 black glitter to taste. It's a pretty simple color to make and it catches fishes too.

I think I forgot to welcome you Gee. So...welcome to the Do-It forums.

You'll love this little bait. Fish do. Its an easy shooter and if you take your time you can create some amazingly life-like baits by cutting colors from one and adding them to another. Lots of room for color-play.

How do you guys fish with that mayfly are you using it on the surface or are you sinking it.

I fished mine on jigs along standing submerged wood and dock pilings this fall with great results.

I like to fish the mayfly on a light weight drop shot or under a slip float. These are great baits to have some fun with the kids catching some gills on the old hook and bobber.

thanks guys for the feedback I figure I was sure that it would be a good bluegill catcher and we may have to invest in one of those molds.

I'm saving mine for trout on a fly rod. Maybe fish it on an intermediate line with about a 6' leader and a 5x or 6x tippet. Either the Truckee or the Little Truckee are close. I might try adding a feather or two and see what happens.

1/32oz or 1/64 collarless ball head with #6 or #8 hook, 2# izorline, 8Ft Phenix trout rod, Shimano Strdic 1000.. And I jig it back in... the trout suck them up..

Would you happen to have a picture of a lure in this color? What mold do you shoot this color in? It sounds perfect for me. I would really appreciate the help.
