Those look great! That perch one looks super realistic. Just out of curiosity, how much of a learning curve is there on painting those?

To make a bait  that catches fish? None to make a bait that might raise an eyebrow a little. It's very easy if you have a top quality brush. The brush is key the better the brush the "cleaner " it is. The cleaner it is the better it paints. A low price brush works fine for a beginner but your skill will out grow the brush so fast there is no reason not to get a good brush... Been there done that. Once your learn the brush and how colors react on top of each other then The sky is the limit.  Very easy and fun

Well..... Lol mmmmm d2, concrete sealer and about every other water proof thing I can find. And they all suck! I have some CS coating headed my way this week. I'm super stoked! The concrete sealer wrinkles the paint 3/4's of the time but is super thin and cures hard as nails. And as you well know D2 is thick and effects the action of the bait  little. From what I've head CS is the way to go.. We shall see

I tried the CS coating when it first came out... I used it on jigs and wasn't impressed. I let them drip dry. They may have improved the product, and I would try it again on my turner for a thicker coat... I haven't heard to many jumping up and down about it... I too have used the concrete sealer and not happy with it. Ruined many of my paint jobs. There has to be something out there... I use water based acrylic craft paint for my stuff... BSI and D2T are the only ones I like, and I'm not thrilled about those.. LOL

Yeah it's easy to paint... Start with a glass of ice about three fingers of gin fill up ginger ale let it breath for about 2 minutes mmmmm  ;D
I paint for taste but it's pearl blank, pineapple pearl sides, moss green fade on top and serpa I striped and back
