My first thought was that you're looking at the wrong worm.  Thanks for the nice comments.
Until next time.

Just giving credit where it's due Bud. I love baits with more than one color where the different colors seem to melt into another. Makes for a super natural looking bait.

True for some colors but with the Lamar's Dirty Little Secret I've tried to make with the twin injector and the dark brown top over takes the lighter color. Using a laminate plate makes a nicer looking bait.

Aw Yeah, D.  There will be competition and opinions.

I will say this...I traded my Toad3.5 for a Toad4, and the intended purpose for that has proven successful.  I intend to obtain another Toad3.5 because of its application.

Today I received a Sample Pack of Essential Baits, and the Toad3.5 was definitely included!!!!  What is a Pack of Toads called?  Herd?  Flock?  School?  Family?  Tribe?  That bumpy little Toad IS going to be my next mold, whenever I buy my next mold, hands down.  It's got the most Natural Finish I've ever seen on a Craw or Frog imitation.  It has the Top and Bottom hook-slots.  It doesn't shine, as Frogs don't shine...it's got more of a Matte Sheen...it'll shine like a Wet Frog when it's Wet...DIG.  I'm sold on that mold like New Items at a Garage Sale.

The Mad Dad is good, but that Beaver Bug is B-B-B-Bangin'...Big...Bumpy...Bit, for sure...or should I say, Fo Sheezy!

Looking at the ES Toad3.5 a little more...the legs are a little thinner and a little more narrow than the bait from the Cut Mold...the edges are rounded, not square.  While the ES won't be as tough as the Cut (shot in the same plastic) because of that, it's That Much More Appealing to me because it'll swim better/easier if they're both shot in the same plastic, and its Reduced Leg Dimensions (Length is the Same!) will let me shoot these in harder/tougher plastic and still get action, so I may get a few more bites per bait.  I went through a TON of Croaker3's, Croaker3.5's, and Toad3.5's this year...because 1, they get bit (!), and 2, because I shoot mine in Soft, usually...but occasionally I shot the Toad3.5 in Regular.  WHEN I get my ES Toad3.5, I'll shoot twice as many in the same amount of time which is GOOD because I go through a bunch!  And I'll shoot them through a mold that costs about half as much, and that will last just as long.  Winner Winner Frog-Leg Dinner!  BAM!

Ya know, I see a WHOLE Lot of talk about the Stanley Ribbit.  Do You know that those Ribbits are shot in Hard?  Yep.  Did You know?  See this new Do-It Essential Series Toad 3.5"?  You can shoot that Bait in Hard and it'll still swim very easily, because of the details I mentioned, and they'll hold up that much better 'cuz Hard is TOUGH.  The thin Body of the Toad also lends itself to being shot in that tougher formula while still maintaining the Toads inherent hook-freedom for the hook-set, because of that thinner Body.  There's a lot of positive to be said for it.

I may have to buy 2 of these molds.

I shoot my 4" toads in regular, action is great.  Not worried about slightly thinner leg dimensions on the ES, if the legs get damaged its 'cause a bass/pike/musky bites 'me off.  Hopefully there's a 4" in the ES future, I'll buy 2 of them at least.  I've been thinking about making them with harder bodies so they last a little longer.  Making them as remelts w/ HDA now to see if the durability increase helps.  They certainly cast further with HDA! :)

Here is a trick I do with my carrot mold that works great with this senko mold, I cut the tail of the worm to 3" place it back in the mold 1" from the end close the mold, shoot and you get a nice 4" in bait. I also did some 3 inchers using the same process. You could just cut the 5"worm down and fish it as is, but I like the taper and the finished look you get when you do it like this.
Not a great photo but you get the idea, 5,4,3 inch.
