When I have some free time I like to go shopping on line, meaning I like to go look at the tackle manufacturer's site and study color plates of their goodies. I heartily endorse doing this. Today I happened over to Lunker City's pages and found a couple that caught my eye. Three actually. I whipped up two and have one for dinking with this afternoon.

The bottom worm is Cinnamon over Pro Blue. Their name. The cinnamon actually needs more brown in it but I'll adjust that later on. The cinnamon is fairly transparent but doesn't show it here in the picture too well. The tails maybe give a better idea of the color as a whole and its transparency. The pro blue is simply about 5 drops of the old formula blue smoke, a couple thin pieces of black already cooked up and a lot of blue hi lite. I added some fire opal micro glitter to this too. The Pro Blue has a lot of uses and in this case really sets the pace for this bait color. The cinnamon is strong and a X2 color. 3 drops in 4 ounces, gold .015 glitter and gold hi lite.
The baits on the top are sweethearts. The blue is 2 drops of fluorescent X2 blue and a single drop of X2 blue. Blue hi lite and seafoam, blue and silver .015 glitter round the color out. Super nice, bright clear blue. The top color is a watermelon green [X2 in a standard mix for 4 ounces] with a little chunk of chartreuse that's already been cooked added. On its own it is quite green but next to the blue it really wants to yellow. Green hi lite along with plenty of blue and green .015 glitter help make it smoke. This combo is flat out sweet.
So if you get bored and wonder what you could try to cook up next, take a tour thru the different tackle company's color plates and challenge yourself.
