Had to do some painting today after physical therapy been out of work since the 8th of December. Don't know when I will be ready to go back, don't want to tear up this new knee I've got fishing to do in the spring.

Hang in there, Tom, and do what you're told.  I still owe you a phone call...probably not before Friday.
Until next time.

Wow! Those baits look really nice. You've really got the paint down pat. Time will past, get well.

Just hanging in there passing time. To cold for me to be out in the garage cooking plastic. I sure want to get some of that done. Haven't done up any plastics since early spring. Made to much the year before, the wife even took some to the flea market in the fall.  So I know I will need a few dozen bags in the spring.

Hey Tom - Hang in there!  Being "laid up" can wear on a man's mind - but it looks like you are completing some cool projects that are therapy!  ;D  Looks like a little thaw is coming up that could help you get into the garage!  We'll look forward to seeing what you cook up!  8)
Take somebody fishing soon!

I feel for ya!!!  I was out for 9+ months with my back and have only been back for 2 weeks now - you definately have to keep busy, but don't overdo!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking from experience of 3 knee rebuilds, don't push it and follow the therapy program. I was taken off of Jump status after my second because I pushed to hard too fast.  Dr. told me this would be the last time we do this.  I was lucky to finish a 23 year career but was removed from Jump status and had to leave the Ranger unit. Now that I'm 53, I feel the pains in the cold weather of all those redo's. So relax, enjoy, follow physical therapy.  It's worth the time.  Hang-in-there.

Carl thanks for your services. I also did 22 years of service. Have a bad back from that and deal with that everyday. It wasn't all that easy being a BFV mechanic it will take a toll on your body. I've been doing my therapy 3 times a week it does help get the knee loose. Don't know how people have both done at the same time.
Have to get fit for fishing in the spring the wife says the same thing take your time. All I have is time so painting have been at "happy place" if you will. As soon as I get going better it will be garage a cook some plastic. I've got a new mold that needs to be tested thanks to jerry and do-it. And I have a jig mold to pour lead. This is how I plan to pass my therapy time.

Thanks Tom for your Service!  Our paths may have crossed one time or another because I spent my last 10 years in BFV units. I was lucky to get AC/RC duty as my last duty station so I could prepare for life after the Army. Finished school and landed the gig I have now. Love the talent you are putting into those baits. They look pretty awesome. You could be in the MP pulling packs. Lol.

Count your lucky stars Tom. You can flex your knee while you sit and paint those cranks. Man you do nice work on those. Paint enough of them.... spend enough time working the airbrush and working your knee and you'll be dancing in no time.

The step-son [52 years old] tore his Achilles off at the heel last September playing basketball with the younger crowd. The tear shredded the Achilles at the heel and where it connects to the sheath. The surgery was pretty extensive. He finally got his own shoe back on but now has so much foot pain associated with shrunken and lax muscle tone that he's wishing he had the boot back on. lol
