Quiet a while ago I bought a bunch of micro glitters [not Do-It glitters] and after the first use I determined that for what I wanted at the time they weren't going to work for me. Being a pack rat they went in the closet. Now fast forward about 18 months. I got some questions from a person regarding winter plastics and colors and what not. He had some very specific color requests so I agreed to shoot up some samples for him. I came across these two that were bagged on a hook in the closet that came from my exploration with the micro glitter bleeders. For jollies I included a few of each in his sample packet. Actually I sent his order and threw a few of each of the two colors here in as sample. Well, he loved these two. The fish loved these two. Now he wants more. Many, many, more. Of each bait.

The pinkish one is cotton candy....sort of. I called the brown one winter crawfish. The plastic in each instance was as clear as crystal before the glitter went in. I am assuming the purple glitter in the cotton candy bled to render the pink hue. It was supposed to be my bluegill color....go figure. But instead its a perfect cotton candy, so that's what it is. The brown craw gets its color from a brown glitter that I thought would go well with gold and red. There is nothing in the plastic to color it except the bleeding glitter colors. The lesson here is never call anything ruined until it really is ruined. Man, am I happy that I saved the glitters I used.
And if memory serves me right yet, MuskyGary had a heavy hand in the development and creation of the smaller of these two baits. I think he was instrumental in getting a slightly larger version done as well. The two baits shown here are by far and away the most aggressive ice baits I make and both are solid producers. And as my buddy said the other day, the good just got better with these two colors.
