Tubes and Browns
« on: 04/02/15 11:24 UTC »
My youngest daughter braved the 38 degrees and winds gusting to 35 last sunday and connected with a couple nice Browns.  3" white tubes on a 3/8th tube jig head.

Dad just played lowly net boy...LOL

Don't know what you did with those, but I'd have to keep that size for smoking! That's a trip your daughter will never forget.

Super catch!  She must love fishing to put up with weather like that.

Good looking pair of fish for the young lady. You can tell her I think she has a killer smile!

Thanks guys.  Yes she was pretty happy with these two.  Out of my three kids, she; never gets cold (important here in WI), is extremely patient, has the fishing "touch", can cast a mile,  and most importantly...always brings some kind of strange mojo with her.  When Ava comes along there is always "voodoo in the vibe".  Its always some kind of big fish encounter, unexplained feeding frenzy, or something... I am always just waiting for it to happen.

Muskygary, we released these but I do keep a couple a year for the smoker.

Your #3 is a cutie Marc and your "Proud Papa" badge is well deserved.  It reminds me of a couple days ago.  I mentor two brothers, 10 and 12, and took them bass fishing on my boat.  We got three small bass and the boys were having fun.  I was dragging a 3½" tube  through some shallow water when the earth shook, my wrist turned to jello and a small volcano erupted next to the boat...7.12# rainbow.  The kids went nuts.  By the time we got off the water the fish "they" caught was over nine pounds.  I like to think of it as a rite of passage...they're on the right track.
Until next time.

Denny
