I got an email late last week as we were just getting ready to dive out of the house for the weekend about trying some cute stuff with the Thump-It 1.5". Basically the question was "since the molds are formatted side to side, they shoot two sides instead of a top and bottom, will the core color shots work?" So I answered the question this morning. a simple "YUP".

And really, this side to side format is great for this bait. Instead of just a thin line when viewed from the side like one would get using a mold that shot a top and bottom, you get a broader color wash. Its very nice.
I tried a little trick this morning. I mixed a drop of purple, florida grape and softener together to get a "looser" color. You can see where this color was dotted on at the very front of the bait. About 1/4" behind it the chartreuse went on. These were both very small drops of color. The thinner purple color appears to have washed in behind the chartreuse giving these baits a cool look. The tails colored up very nice.
So I answered the email with this picture and a simple YUP.
