I've seen, in a few Threads, some mild un-knowing of how we measure components, among other things I'll have to call just simply not knowing, which is standard when someone is new to something. Here's how I do it, and what I do it with. This may vary by the Individual, but here's what I do and what I do it with, in 1 spot. Please feel free, Pro's, to chime in!
***Colorants...I measure in Drops...I do not cut the tip of the Yorker Cap, it comes with a small hole when You get it, and the smaller of a drop You can make, the finer Your adjustments can be...this is Precision.
***Flake (Glitter)...I use a Stainless Steel "3 Spoon Set" that are labeled "Smidgen, Pinch, and Dash". These can be had for a few dollars. They're very small measuring spoons, and are common on "eBay" and "Bed, Bath & Beyond", in my experience.
***Hardener and Menhaden Oil...A standard set of Stainless Steel measuring spoons will do this...in Teaspoon (TSP) and Partial TSP increments. 1/4 TSP, 1/2 TSP, 1 TSP and 1 TBSP (Tablespoon), is my set.
There are Some who use Measuring CUPS for different things...hopefully they'll chime in.
***Measuring and Mixing Plastic...I have 3 Pyrex Glass Measuring "Cups"...2 are 16 oz., 1 is 32 oz.
***Stirring...An Extremely useful and versatile tool is my Stainless Steel "Spatula" from AcidRod.com...
http://acidrod.com/finish_epoxy.html ...top-right corner of that page...$3...I stir with this kickin' little tool.
