Looking good! What swimbait is that? Looks like a good tail flapper.

If that's the 10" ribbon tail then it's a good one. I'm looking at pairing it with the Randy Howell mag shaky head in the 1/2 or 3/4 oz with a 7/0 hook. I fished it this year with a 3/8 and a 5/0 hook and it just needed more weight and hook. I'm looking forward to fishing it on those humps in 20 plus feet of water.

Knife work I believe had him out of play for a bit. Or maybe that's still on the horizon. He hasn't been around much of late so I thought he may be just now re-couping.

Did he leave?

Sort of. I had my right hip replaced last Thursday. Now I have another week or so before I can make it downstairs to make baits and four weeks before I can go back to work. So you'll see more of me in the next few weeks. It's boring at best just sitting around the house.

Fine lookin' ribbon tail, Mike.  Sure wish I had one.  And Justin...I don't think Lamar is old yet, just needs some tweaking.

I take that back, Justin, Lamar is now part of the bionic generation.  He'll have to take an oil can with him wherever he goes.  Hope all went well, Lamar.  I know a number of guys that have gone through knee or hip replacements and they all brag about how much better they feel.  If you have trouble sleeping during your recovery, call Tom.  It's better than any sleeping pill I've ever taken.
Until next time.

Denny

Careful Denny. I've had some sonic gas lately and I might express mail you a sample.

And Justin. We are not old, just well seasoned. And we understand what work is so parts get worn out.

Back in the late 70's my handle on the CB was Tin man. Now almost 40 years later I can't believe I'll be asking for oil like he did in the movie Wizard of Oz. Just remember one thing guys. God will send you to hell for two things. The first is I can't remember and the second is picking on a cripple. That's right no passing Go and no collecting 200 dollars. Straight to hell you'll go.
