For those who sell finished baits, what would you say are the top 10 most popular colors sold.

Here is my guess in no particular order.

1 Black
2 Black /blue flake
3 Green pumpkin
4 Watermellonseed
5 Watermellon /red flake
6 Pumpkinseed
7 Junebug
8 Motor oil
9 Grape
10 Watermelon Candy

I agree with bill, but a couple other colors I would add would be Brown and Smoke.

Colors can vary a lot by region and again by what you're fishing for. I can see only two that would see much use in Minnesota for crappies.

Bill,

What type and style of baits are you asking about (Bass / Crappie, Craws, worms, Swim Baits, etc.)?  I think this has a big influence over colors.

We don't sell baits, but we get a lot of sample request form those who do.  For Bass baits it is almost always a variation of a green or black.  If it's a swimming bait it usually resembles a real fish (shad, etc.).

For Crappie we don't get a lot of color request, they just want to see the baits.

Out here in the West, Baby Bass has to be on the list.

Until next time.

Up here in the Pacific North West, cinnamon has to be in your bag of tricks for smallmouth.

For bass, you are as close as I think you could get if you had to narrow it to 10.

Only other colors I have real high on the list are pearl white or white and roadkill camo.
