Sin City
« on: 02/25/16 12:15 UTC »
.Carole and I left on Monday for a little vacation. First stop has been Las Vegas. We are currently camped at the Palace right at the end of Fremont where the the nightly light shows are. Absolutely fantastic lights this trip. Tomorrow we meet with the son and family who live here for the weekend. Monday we rent a car and are off to Laughlin, Nevada for four days. We have friends in Bullhead City, Arizona, right across the Colorado River that we'll visit on Weds. On Thursday we visit a cousin in Lake Havasu, Az. Friday we return to Vegas and the kids place again and fly home on the ext Monday.

Temps have been nice.....60's to low 70's and dry. Plans are to fish at Havasu where reported 5 pound red armed sunfish lurk. Later people.

Been an interesting trip thus far. The first day here a young lady died after falling over ten stories down a laundry chute...drugs/alcohol maybe in question they say. Today we have a jumper at the same hotel/casino. He's found a perch about them levels up and there's about a ten square block area taped off. The fire department has the trampoline and netting strung. I have a great picture of him contemplating the landing. Like they say....never a dull moment.

We're in Laughlin, Nevada now until Friday, then back to Vegas and the kid's place until Monday when we fly home. 88 degrees right now. I look out the hotel window and can see the mountains and Colorado River. The hotel is right on the boardwalk along the river where we'll be getting our evening walks in.
