Year of the Frog
« on: 11/29/11 18:41 UTC »
Just finished reading the newest issue of Bass. The last article is about all the frog lures the big name bait makers are offering. I have spent money on Ribbits and a couple of Spros'...Total Waste Of Money! I have had more strikes this summer with CCM'S Croaker VS those $8.00 frogs. Like I said in my review of the mold, nothing beats a frog getting hammered; but nothing beats YOUR frog, YOU made getting hammered! Salute the CCM Croaker! Jason, I hope you sell a truck load of croaker molds in 2012!  8)

I can't agree....MORE!

I have to admit...I never did quite get the "slop bass" thing....fishing IN the Lilly pads, heavy weeds etc until this year fishing the Croakers. The bass and Northern Pike ate them up....I had some of my best nights, ever, fishing the Croakers...buzzing along the top and through the really thick stuff. Sure...I always have done well "fishing the edges"...but when you do hand to hand combat in the slop....it's a whole new ball game! Big Rod...Big line...and Big bruises on my stomach from setting the hook and fitting them.

In a review of the Croaker I mentioned the time in the boat when my Son asked...."Do those things ever catch fish?".....and no sooner than he said it....a 4lb bass blasted the bait...and as I held it up to show him...all I had to say was...Yep!

There is also a post and picture of a 36" Northern that ate a CCM Croaker...more proof!

Next year my goal is to start fishing the CCM Big Foot Toad....and I'm 100% sure...the BIG Northern Pike and Largemouth are not going to leave that thing alone!!!!!
