Mississippi Watermelon Red/Gold (RG)
« on: 12/09/11 11:35 UTC »
I called this one Mississippi Watermelon RG (Red/Gold) because my Wife and oldest StepDaughter requested it after I made a batch of Avocado/Neon the way I think it should be, mostly geared towards Saltwater...they looked at my rendition, then said what they'd prefer in their "ideal" Watermelon/Red...here it is...I like it.

***Mississippi Watermelon RG
12 oz.s CCM Plastic (I use Hard)
65 drops CCM Watermelon NB
6 drops CCM Brown NB
2 Smidgens .040" CCM Red flake
2 Smidgens .015" CCM Red flake
1 Smidgen .015" CCM Gold flake

I do not "open up" the tips of the Yorker Caps...I leave them with the small factory opening.

That is a really good looking color.  Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Your baits look great as well.

Nice job!

Thank You, Sir!  My Plain-Jane Avocado/Neon is next.

I wish my camera was as good as Ghostbait's camera... ::)

Nice color!!! My camera is an old, simple thing. Lighting is the key really. That and the Macro button on my camera.

Those pictures look really good to me.  Better than I can take.  Ghostbaits has it right - Lighting is the key - and I can't ever get it right.

Good looking baits, Phil.  Re the Yorkers...I tend to agree with you about not messing with the tip.  By leaving it the way it comes you will maintain consistency in all your receipes.  Pjmcla has a good plan going with using the same size needle for enlarging the hole.  I'd lose the needle.
Until next time.

Thank You, Fella's!  I'm gonna have to work on the lighting, and the background.  I think my shiny oven pans may be part of the "problem".  I just think that better pics do All Good Things, in everything that surrounds Sharing Recipes, and CCM...because Bro's, when we're using CCM Molds and Components (plastic/colorant/flake), we're using the Best...and clear pics, those like Ghostbaits puts up, let the True Quality be seen in the Mold, Components, and Workmanship in Every Step.

And roger on'na Yorkers!  I feel that the smaller You can get that drop of Colorant, the finer Your adjustments can be, and that also translates into repeatability...this is Precision.  Precision ain't just for Handloadin' Ammo!   :D
