Yesterday Carole and I did a road trip to Denver with a mission of finding lodging for the get-together and Kyle handed us an idea to check out closer. We again looked closely at Waverly due to its closeness to Do-It. The motel is right on the main drag in the downtown. Its call the Cobblestone and opened new in October of 2015. The rooms are very nice....clean and a full spread of amenities: refer, microwave and coffer maker in each room, either a king or pair of queen beds in each room. The motel has a main floor meeting room which comes without charge as long as a block of rooms has been set aside. There's a large parking area available. A continental breakfast is offered as well. There is no pool but then at the last shin dig nobody was carping about having a cold pool so not having one should not be an issue. There is a beer and wine bar right next to the front desk....gotta love this feature. And immediately out the door there are a couple dining places and a couple watering holes. Everything is pretty compact once the car is parked. AND, Kyle informs me that he lives only a couple blocks away so we could always move a rowdy party to his digs!
The rooms are $89.95/night.
Things are starting to shape up nicely for this event. I'll be scanning the brochure info into a document and can send anyone wishing to check the motel's info out beforehand can do so, I should have this done by this evening.
