Bit the bullet
« on: 09/07/16 17:10 UTC »
I figure I should introduce myself before anything, so hey, my name's nick! I'm 18 years old, and I started making baits around 3 years ago. I started with small crappie jigs and flies, and then started making inline spinners.

I have been wanting to get into the soft plastic game for some time. This weekend I was able to purchase 3 molds (essential series senko, craw, wutz-it) as they were on sale on Tacklewarehouse. I also purchased a few colorants, glitters, heat stabilizer, gloves, and the ES starter kit. I also purchased all the essentials for it, as well as some storage options. I got a microwave, halogen lamp, 3 measuring cups (anchor hocking oven safe) and I installed a pegboard. I thought I would share the picture of my workspace. It's not much, but I think it looks pretty good! Once my molds and stuff come in, I will post pictures of my first pours!

Looks great and sounds like you have all your bases covered. This is a very fun hobby just remember if you haven't already to get you a good pair of heat resistant gloves. I look forward to seeing your baits and welcome to the forums .

I bought the nitrile gloves offered on the do-it site!
