A great place....

.....to find a 1.5" Thump-It.

Our crappie bite is picking up now even with the Mickey Mouse weather we've seen. I did well yesterday and went back this morning for another go-round. I actually had almost 2 hours of fishing time before the wind turned a corner and made my fishing life miserable.

The general size of the crappies is getting better now. Today I caught a 6" walleye from a walleye-sterile lake except for some that were stocked for put and take fishing several years ago. Either they stocked again and did not make it public or those little buggers are getting it on where they were said the wouldn't. lol

That blue Thump-It is sporting a chartreuse tail. You can see the blue thru the mouth parts.

Man, the fish were down there today. Like 8 feet down in 12 feet of water. There's a ledge at around 9 feet where they were hitting today but nothing was higher in the water column than 8 feet. Strange. Yesterday they hung at 7 feet.

Good fishing Tom. I'm hopeful to get some crappies myself tomorrow.

I'll be passing on the fishing now until Monday maybe. Carole has something going on tomorrow and I don't fish on weekends.

I started a new blood thinner on Tuesday and tonight I feel like someone has used me for target practice. Feverish, joint pain like no other and basically just feel like dog crap. I don't know if I am reacting to the Xarelto or if I picked up a bug. I'll be calling it in tomorrow if I still feel this way. Maybe the body is telling me I have to allow a day between outings.

I need to straighten out my work bench anyway. We're supposed to see 70's this weekend.

Hope your meds work out for you and I know all about constant joint pain. Can't wait to see what your next outing provides.

Not sure that its the meds now. Feverishness is gone but one hip aches in the joint like I have been kicked. I'm thinking it just a touch of some bug. Whatever it is  it sure made me miserable yesterday afternoon and evening. I went to bed at 9pm. I never go to bed that early. I'll be calling the anti-coagulation clinic to make sure of things though anyway.

There is a lot of crud going around so hopefully that's what's going on with you VS it being a med issue.

Feeling better today. I'm glad I don't fish weekends because its windy again. Not particularly cold, just windy.

Good deal.

I don't fish weekends either especially this time of year. Windier than a cobb here today too.
