Under Spins
« on: 04/13/17 19:14 UTC »
I made a few of these up tonight. I kind of like them. Now I need to find out if the fish like them. For you core shot guys check out the shad. I can't get them to come out every time like this but I'm getting better.

Looks good Lamar, I have been fishing the underspin for a few years now, with a swimbait on the back. Around Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake they really like it. It may just be my imagination but I seem to get bit with the underspin, better than just a jig head. I  just took a dremel tool and drilled out a place on my Ultra head mold, for a crane swivel to stick outside the mold, to hang my ball bearing swivel on, and then my willow leaf blade  They worked fine.

This just sort of happen to me once and now I play around with it but it looks cool. I make the smoke purple flake warmer then the pearl and then dual inject it. At first they are even in the mold ( the belly ) then the smoke is flowing faster and pushes around the pearl and forms the tail section. So it looks like a core shot but it's not. You want the smoke to be like water when you stir it and the pearl to be almost to thick.

I believe that is a 3.5 but it is also a 1/2 head so it can hold it down ok.
