I do like the bag Dave! Have you left some in there for a month or so and taken them out to see what happens to the tails?

I am afraid that the tail will kink/turn as a result of how it is in the bag and cause the bait to not run straight. I compared the thickness of the bait to the 10" curl tail worms in the same area. If they are kinked for a couple weeks, the tail does not "swim" properly.

Just curious as I like how the bag works out. Plus bags are WAY less expensive!

Also, Paul's address is : 5391 Futch Rd  Hahira, GA 31632!!!  :D

Another Idea....

PSS It looks like you are dipping the full body on these, does it affect the action at all? I have a few I did just for curiosity sake. I guess if you don't mess with the tail, all is good.

Vacuum sealed bag....to keep them straight?

LMBO Jim, On the sexy shad, those were some of my seconds that I threw in a bag.  On a good set that is going out I carefully lay them on the card stock to package them. I really can't say how they look after a month or so, but now that you've mentioned it I will watch them. Hmmm, that is a good question. As for the body being dipped, yes sir! I dipped the entire body and it seems that it hasn't effected the action of the tail so far.

Andrew, no vacuum bags here partner. I just lay them in there without oil added to them and it seems to stick to the package really nice.

Vacuum sealed bag....to keep them straight?

I tried bagging them "straight" but for the tail to remain in the position it comes out of the mold, the baits have to either rest on the back of the bait or the belly of the bait. Any other position puts a twist between the tail and the body.

I have put some in a bag to start the test. Hopefully the baits get used up prior to anything going down but I'd hate to have a tackle store or angler call me a few months down the rode telling me the baits don't swim.

May seem overkill to most folks but I think if you take the time to produce a high level bait, no reason to overlook something simple that puts it back in the anglers box or the discount bin at a tackle store.

OK, I am obsessive/compulsive!!!!  :D Now I can start the road to recovery!!!
