Welcome to the forum, BJ. You got some really good responses from some really good craftsmen. I remember back in my newby days I found it difficult to keep all the information straight. I started printing out copies of posts, like this one, and keeping them in a loose leaf binder. Over time, you will have accumulated a wealth of information, tricks, do's/don't, etc...and it's always at your fingertips. I know it's pretty low tech, but so am I.
P.S. Do the same thing with colors. WRITE THE RECEIPE DOWN. Don't try to find it later because chances are you won't.
