I usually buy the glitter from our soft bait retailers. That said, I know some guys have success with the craft glitter. Keep your temps as low as possible. Don't add the glitter until the plastisol cools after taking it to 350. It may curl. It may bleed even after taking precautions. Heats the enemy.

What size baits are you interested in producing?

I stay away from glitter, 99.9% of the time.  I use Pearls and Hilites regularly.

I would say .015 and .035 glitter with those baits. The .008 makes some nice addition, also. For me, most times less is more, if you know what I mean. But for those baits, I think you will be happy with those sizes.

Think I'll start out ordering the .015 and then order me a few .035 and a few .008

I like both .15 and .35.  Mixing sizes of glitter in the same bait can give you cool effects.  I say just get one of each in both sizes

You have to be carefull with glitters the glitter sold hear is made for high heat. I bought some at Walmart and it didn't work so well for me.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

I too, as others have said, add glitter AFTER heating the plastic mixed with colorant, and highlight powders, UV, glow, etc......to 360ish.

...and I agree glitter, especially some more than others, are highly affected by heat.

....but in terms of glitter size, the size of glitter does not matter based on the size of your baits you are pouring.  It matters more what effect you are after....i.e. what you are trying to create the final product to look like...

...and small glitter takes less volume to go a long way vs larger sizes. In other words, you will use WAY less .008 size glitter in say a cup of plastic than you would .035 or .065 glitter to get the same "penetration" or "consistency".
