| Description: Caught a real wide one today. Caught in 25 Feet of water on a channel drop. Not much fight to him as the current was slow. I would bet in a good current; the fight would have been epic.

| ghostbaits | 05/11/12 07:56 UTC That made me LOL!!!!!! What bait enticed him into striking? Jim |
| pjmcla | 05/11/12 08:39 UTC The bait will remain a secret. If I put it out here on the forum; the next day; everybody would be out catching my trophy shovel-bills. |
| Jason | 05/14/12 08:38 UTC Nice one!!! |
| BareKnuckleJigs | 05/24/12 18:26 UTC Something similar happened to me a few days ago! Using a small Knocker Rig in just over 200 feet of water, a Williamson Benthos 7 ate my 3.5" Carrot that the others were eating. It didn't fight much either, but I understand they sell for about $25 a pound. I hope You threw that one back, Mr. Paul...ShovelBill HandleFish are on the Endangered Species List! |
