Anybody using one of these for fishing and bait making colors?
Seems like it might be a useful tool to have, if it really works!

The Color-c-lector came out in the seventies. I believe it was developed by Dr. Loren Hill?  What it is ; is a light meter that gagues the light penertration into the water, by the water color. It was a big thing when it came out; everyone in the bass clubs had one, but it's popularity faded, now it's making a small comeback. Your better off fishing the colors that work for you!

That's the point.
If this would get one to the 'colors that work' maybe it's worth it?

In my opinion other than bright or dark you having confidence in the bait means way more than anything or any person telling you what color you should use.  I can't tell you how many guys insist on a certain color for a body of water and someone else uses something totally different and does just as well.  I know for a fact if I don't like a certain color I don't do well on it.  I say make a color you like and you will catch fish on it.

Putting the bait in front of the fish in a matter it wants it is way more important then any color you'll ever fish. Convincing most fisherman that is way more difficult.
