Rusty Red
http://www.caneycreekmolds.net/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=500Cooked this one up to imitate Red Oyster Worms, but I think it'll apply to other imitations...
...Rusty Red...
8 oz.s CCM Plastic
20 Drops CCM Brown NB
10 Drops CCM Red NB
1 Pinch LC .035" Brown flake (not needed)
2 TSP Menhaden Oil (doesn't effect color)
1 TBSP Dried Shredded Shrimp (doesn't effect color in more opaque colors)
The Dried Shrimp Shred has a little moisture in it which was apparent when it hit the Plastic Melt...foam...bad. I heated probably 5 or 6 times after the foaming, about 20 seconds at a time, stirring quite hard between heatings. This took care of the moisture. I think a Food Dehydrator or a short trip in the Oven would take the remaining moisture out of the Shrimp.
I thought mixes with the Menhaden Oil stank...nope. This mix with a little Shad Oil and the hit of Shrimp Shred...beautiful...if You're used to living in a Gator Den. The Specks and Flounder will absolutely eat this one...I think the Bass will like it, too.
