Time for the big houses.
« on: 12/25/18 15:17 UTC »
Now that big houses and trucks are able to get out it’s making a lot of fun for the boys and me. Any color spoon or jig is working as long as it is glow red. Lately been on an 18 ft break with some small stone down. Deadstick are 50/50 with jigging...

Now that's cool. Where are you fishing....what state?

And who is the coloring book for? And the crayons? Looks like an adult hand in the pic. Certainly can't be for those two boys because they're busy catching fish.

Ottertail County Minnesota. We live in Brainerd so lots of options within an hour drive, also live on a lake here in town, but it’s more of just a widening
Of the Mississippi River.

The boys do lots of coloring, ice crystal hunting, minnow catching and eating snacks when the fish are not biting.

We have some family up your way, further up the line though. Beautiful country.

Those boys look right at home in that house and with those fish. The coloring book caught me eye and brought back some memories of one of my daughters. She held a fascination for minnows too as well as coloring in "her" book. I had my shack on the Mississippi too but down here in the Lake City, Lake Pepin, area. Great winter fishing until the nuke plant got fired up in Red Wing, then it all went away in five years.

Love the look on the kids faces - that's a fun age for sure!!!! Nice Rex, thanks for sharing!
