Every once in a while.....

....the guys that do product development come up with a real banger. Enter the new 4" Fat Fork.

This bait is in the new catalog, but not on the internet store pages yet. If it's something you want, call and order it. It will one super bait based on the past history of its little brother, the 2.75" Fat Fork, and the beautiful cut detail in the mold. There is a divider cut into the bottom section of the mold to make a hook slot. And did I mention the surface detail?....tons of reflective surface area to help mimic those bait fish. Like its little brother, this bait too is the perfect size for fooling old Marble Eyes as well as those Bass. Honestly I can see this bait being injected with a weighted plastic and then fished on a single hook in deep pools for trout. Lots of adaptability in this new-comer.

I'm particularly happy with the surface detail as these baits will finish with an air brush beautifully. When the clear cover dip is applied over the air-brush paint that detail simply jumps out as the baits are turned in the hand....I have air-brushed many of the 2 3/4" Fat Forks and can say this from experience. The 4" version's mold has the detail cut deeper so this detail will stand out even more on the air-brushed baits once the clear dip is applied.

This mold came to my door the day prior to deer opener and I haven't had a chance to play with it yet since I am still looking for my last tag to get filled. But once the deer are processed I have plans to cook some of these bad boys up and get the air compressor fired up. I know I may have mentioned the cut-in detail  maybe once too many times but it is absolutely incredible and a picture doesn't do it justice.

Walleye won't leave them alone. Excellent on a 2/0 EWG for bass too.
